He stated that Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man will not be returning and that they do not plan to undo the emotional final moments of Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame. Feige also explained that there was initial hesitancy about casting Downey due to legal troubles in the past. However, after a successful screen test, Downey was cast as Iron Man and went on to be a team player and a cheerleader for his fellow actors in the Marvel universe.
